The Mask Audio Electronics YES. is a thunderous fuzz that delivers dynamic gated tones, something difficult to achieve since the gating effect removes dynamics. And it does so with just two knobs appropriately named “Loud” and “More” – and a toggle switch.
An evolution of an older circuit based on cascading octave generators, the YES was tweaked to be more dynamically responsive, rather than just loud and gnarly. The result is a fuzz that can deliver a range of tones from synth-like to gated to… insane.
The toggle switch gives you two EQ voices, with the down position sounding more traditional and the up one more edgy.
