New Pedals: Alexander Pedals Velvet Noise

When Alexander Pedals set out to design the Velvet Noise, the goal was to find a better way to tackle stereo widening without falling into the usual traps of phase cancellation, mono collapse, or unnatural artifacts. Traditional methods like mid/side processing or micro-delays can often fall apart under headphones or…... Click for more

Strymon Timeline MX Delay

When it came out, the Timeline was the delay pedal that made other delay pedals feel like toys. The Strymon Timeline MX doesn't replace it — it mutates it. The original's twelve machines are still here — dTape, dBucket, Digital, Dual, Pattern, Reverse, Trem, Filter, Diffuse, Ice, Duck, and Lo-Fi…... Click for more

New Pedal: Death By Audio & Rainger FX Amp Crash

When NYC's noise-mongers Death By Audio and London’s imaginative mad scientists Rainger FX cross paths, the result was always going to be wonderfully unhinged. Both builders share a relentless passion for pushing stompbox design past the edge of convention, favoring wild textures, raw industrial aesthetics, and circuits that feel…... Click for more

Updated Pedal: Old Blood Noise Beam Splitter V2 Stereo Distortion

If you’ve ever chased the wall-of-guitars studio magic of triple-tracking a single part, Old Blood Noise Endeavors' Beam Splitter V2 is built to solve it. New Pedal: MXR Flanger/Doubler

Compressing the legendary footprint of MXR’s vintage studio rack unit into a pedalboard-friendly stompbox, the MXR Flanger/Doubler utilizes authentic bucket-brigade device (BBD) circuitry to deliver real, analog motion. Bridging the gap between sweeping, jet-engine flanging and thickened, offset doubling, it provides a versatile analog architecture built for both guitar rigs…... Click for more

MXR Textures Granular Synth Engine

Most pedals take what you play and hand it back to you more or less intact. The MXR Textures does the opposite. It takes your signal, pulls it apart into tiny pieces called grains, and lets you rearrange them into something that barely resembles where you started. Inside the box…... Click for more

GFI System Solis Ventus Delay/Reverb

Hailing from the Indonesyan brand that gave us the Specular Tempus (also a stereo, multi-algorithms reverb + delay pedal), the GFI System Solis Ventus expands on its predecessor offering a dual DSP engine, powered by two 32-bit ARM processors. This configuration allows you to run two effects (delay-delay, reverb-reverb, or…... Click for more

Red Panda RD-1 Pitch Delay

Red Panda has spent years proving that digital doesn't have to mean cold. The Raster was their deep-dive pitch delay - a brilliant box with menus, alternate functions, and enough parameters to make a synth programmer weep with joy . It was also, for the stomp-and-go guitarist, a lot. Enter…... Click for more

New Pedal: Electro-Harmonix Pico Shimmer Cosmic Reverb

Electro-Harmonix built the Pico Shimmer so you don't have to spend ten minutes dialing in a decent octave reverb. Three scenes, one knob to morph between them, and a footswitch that gives you infinite reverb on a press-and-hold. That's the whole interface. Here are the 3 Scenes: Intergalactic: classic shimmer with…... Click for more

Updated Pedal: Vahlbruch SpaceTime Tap V3

The original SpaceTime was good. German engineering, MagTraB magnetic switching, Tap Tempo, analog dry path, warm digital repeats that didn't sound like ass. But it also required serious real estate, sported six knobs and multiple toggles, and had one fatal flaw: no tap tempo . The SpaceTime Tap V3…... Click for more

Beetronics Pollinator Hazee Multi-Modulated Delay

Beetronics finally went digital. After years of building analog dirt boxes in those signature hand-painted enclosures, the California-via-Brazil hive unleashed the Pollinator Hazee Delay—their first fully digital pedal . And thank fuck. Because you can't do what this does with bucket brigades and capacitors. Here's the twist: most modulated delays…... Click for more
