The Gypsy Haze by Cast Engineering (check out our profile article on them here) is an Octave up/fuzz pedal with a very unique switching system for the octave, which also has a “Stutter” mode controllable through Tap Tempo.

“We worked countless hours on the tone and simplicity of this pedal. You can find a pallet of awesome tones without having to switch a million switches or turn 100 knobs. Then we added a very unique switching circuit to control the octave modes (on, off and stutter). The last thing we did was to add tap tempo to the stutter mode. All the switching functionality is isolated from the signal path so we retained the signature analog tone the pedal has. Of course it is also true bypass.” – Steve Evans
