Swamp Witch Pedals Rattle Bones

For your daily dose of fuzz, here’s a few minutes in the company of the Swamp Witch Pedals Rattle Bones.

Interestingly, in this circuit, which features an internal dual distortion circuit, there are no clipping diodes, but the distortion is generated through “destructive wave interference.”

This is what the controls do:

  • CAPS: Cranks the caps to increase overall gain.
  • STEMS: Increases the stems for more sizzle.
  • VOLUME: Makes it louder.

The result is, to quote the builder, a “a quasi-octave fuzz, going from gentle vintage fuzz tones to all-out, square-wave, bone-shaking fuzz-stortion.”

Listen to it for your self in this otherwordly video.

The Rattle Bones is a quasi-octave fuzz, going from gentle vintage fuzz tones to all-out, square-wave, bone-shaking fuzz-stortion.

No diode-clipping here: all the distortion comes from destructive wave interference!

Designed from the ground up, this (internal) dual-channel distortion creates maximum chaos when inverted signals clash.
