Greek pedal maker Crazy Tube Circuits has been very active with new designs in the last few years, and just announced a new addition to its roster with the Limelight Fuzz/Distortion, an original circuit devised as a tribute to the early fuzz circuits, its British derivatives and their offsprings.

The effect is based on three hand picked New Old Stock Black Glass Germanium transistors, and the Beam knob is central to this design:

A beam control morphs from nasty “satisfaction” gated fuzz up to mkI / II style fuzz distortion.

The company highlights that this pedal can deliver “extraordinary low gain boost sounds” when you set the Gain at minimum and the Beam knob all the way up.

Limelight is a fuzz / distortion unit designed to pay tribute to the first commercially available fuzz, its british derivatives and their offsprings.
