Californian company Neunaber built its reputation through the sound of their lush reverb pedals, gaining a certain amount of buzz in particular for their shimmer algorithms. Today they announced their new reverb pedal, ILLUMINE, a mid-size, stereo, multi-mode device with remarkably few knobs (two).
The ILLUMINE offers 17 reverb modes (listed at the bottom of this post) and sports all the features you would expect from a do-it-all workstation: stereo Midi compatibility, Presets (50 factory + 50 user ones), extended Expression control, built-in A/B switch for a quick way to change presets while playing without interruptions in sound.
Thanks to a clever user interface, the two knobs with push function allow the player to edit in-depth the loaded presets, while a free preset manager software helps keep things organized and also to share presets with other users.
The footswitches, on the other hand, deal with preset switching and on/off duties.
The Neunaber IMMERSE looks like a clever design that takes the stereo multiverb format to a more compact and streamlined standard.
