Based in Marietta, Georgia, Jetter Gear is a pedal manufacturer exclusively dedicated to dirt boxes – and increasingly focused on overdrives – that makes an effort to “keep as much of the build process in-house or closely under our direct control.”
Their circuit boards are designed and manufactured in the US, their cases built locally, and even the silk screening is done in the house. They’ve been around for more than a decade, and even though they are not one of the “hot names” in the commercial pedal circuit, they have a long list of notable estimators mostly comprised of top-notch pros involved in the classic rock and blues circuits.
Therefore, as you may have gathered, their pedals are all about tone. Their newest release, the Pedal X, is a unique-sounding overdrive with a peculiar design that doesn’t feature any clipping stage (i.e., it doesn’t ave diodes). Here’s what the manufacturer says about its circuit:
By carefully balancing five gain stages and incorporating positive feedback in critical locations, the result is a big, dynamic performer that has unusual sustain and definition.
