The family of Klon clones has just grown a new member: born from a rib of the Conspiracy Theory, the Way Huge Deep State is a limited edition overdrive pedal designed in collaboration with Joe Bonamassa. There are only 550 units, all sold through Reverb.com.
As you may expect, there’s a story behind this device. Way Huge’s Jeorge Tripps discovered a diode with – to quote the description – a “magical-sounding voltage drop,” which, when engineers inside the Conspiracy Theory Overdrive circuit, resulted in smooth saturation with uncommon touch sensitivity. Tripps asked Joe to try it: he loved it and endorsed it.
