The Warm Audio RingerBringer continues the US company’s series of pedals inspired by discontinued (or supposedly so) stompboxes brought to you at a lower price point than the original and with very minor sonic compromises, if any. The RingerBringer, as many of you may have guessed, is a clone of the Moogefooger Ring Modulator, considered one of the best pedals in that niche, and currently selling for about three times the price of this accurate yet smaller recreation.
Just like the original, this pedal is a well of sounds from the inspiring to the bizarre, a tool recommended for creative musicians who aren’t afraid to explore sonic possibilities outside the typical range of the classic guitar tones.
It features everything you can expect from a ring modulator, plus a Drive circuit, two selectable LFO waves, and a Mix control. A Lo/Hi switch allows you to target more precisely the modulator’s frequency.
Needless to say, this is an effect that works well also with synthesizers.
Check out what it can do in the videos below. We added it to our article about the best ring modulator pedals.
