The Orange Guitar Butler is a two-channel preamp pedal that offers a Clean and a Dirty channel voiced after the UK builder’s popular guitar amps, and that can work in conjunction with any amp or PA to provide the unmistakeable character of the Orange amplifiers.
The trick in the sleeve of this pedal is that, besides the two channels, it adds a third, footswitchable volume setting thanks to a second volume knob in the dirty channel, which can be triggered via the left footswitch.
With a JFET preamp section that imparts the signal the warmth of a tube circuit, the Butler offers a similar, separate 3-way EQ for each channel (Treble, Mids, and Bass) and a volume out that has enough volume to push your amp to the edge of breakup. Needless to say, the disty channel also features a Gain stage before the EQ and the two Volume knobs.
The two channels cannot be stacked but alternated via the right footswitch.
It also features an FX loop and two separate output, one for the amp and a balanced XLR featuring a cab simulation EQ curve.
