Nux Edge Delay

Part of the Chinese company’s Mini Core Series, the Nux Edge Delay is, as far as we know, the first stereo mini-delay pedal, also featuring three modes, tap-tempo, and subdivisions.

A push button on the top of the pedal gives access to three delay modes:

Phi Digital Mode is a digital delay with a “golden ratio” 2nd repeat.

Analog Mode is voiced after the classic BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) units, producing a warm sound with natural treble decay. The Edge’s algorithm replicates the oscillation feedback you get when tweaking the time knob from max to min.

Tape Echo Mode is based on the Space Echo, emulating the high-frequency saturation and low-end decay of magnetic tape, and its gentle wow and flutter modulation.

The stereo in-out can be activated by using TRS 1/4″ cables.

We added the Nux Edge Delay to our article about the best mini delay pedals.

Nux Edge Delay, Builder’s Notes

The Edge Delay Provides You With 3 Unique Delays, Each Including Acurate Control Over Its Sonic Character And Feel. Clear, Studio-Quality Digital Delays. Saturated And Fluctuating Sounds Of Tape Delay Machines. Warm And Fuzzy Analog Style Repeats.

?Phi Digital Delay is a digital delay with a golden ratio 2nd repeat head. It makes your guitar sounds more musical in nature. Easily tweak the knobs, setup the desired sub-division, engage the smart tap tempo, and you’re ready to go.

Analog Delay is based on the vintage BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) delay. It produces a very warm sound with natural treble decay. Very suitable for scorching ballad solos with romantic atmosphere. Our unique algorithm replicates the physical infinity oscillation feedback while you tweak the time knob from max to min quickly.

Tape Echo is based on the legendary Space Echo machine. We digitally recreated the retro-feel of a real tape and capstan configuration. The Tape Echo emulates the high-frequency saturation and low-end decay of magnetic tape. It’s gently modulated for added richness and color. Tweak the time knob from max to min quickly, and you can get the infinity feedback.
