Newcomers to the pedal game Nunomo are offering an innovative take on overdrive with the Limbo Overdrive. The coolest feature of this pedal is the ability to tailor the clipping voltage, which enables a very wide range of overdrive sounds.
The standard ‘Drive’, ‘Tone’, and ‘Volume’ controls are present with the addition of ‘Positive’ and ‘Negative’ controls for adjusting the clipping voltage. A lot of pedals offer the ability to toggle between symmetrical and asymmetrical clipping, but with the Limbo you can actually adjust the amount of voltage, not just the type of clipping.
While not a really high-gain pedal, the Limbo sits very well for blues and classic rock sounds. Knob tweakers will have fun riding the rails and finding out what new overdrive sounds they can cook up. – Stoner
