Another boost pedal from JHS, the Clover is a preamp based on the rare BOSS FA-1. It is a FET design with some added features that JHS included to make the circuit even better. It has a Volume control and 3 band EQ, as well as a rotary switch that selects between 3 different EQ settings: Full EQ (all tone knobs active), No Mids (fixed mids, only High/Low knobs active), and No EQ – turning the pedal into a straight boost.
The Clover also has a balanced XLR output for using the preamp with acoustic guitar or bass. This output works in tandem with the standard output enabling you to run the signal to a mixer or interface.
