Released by the Californian builder together with an overdrive and a phaser, the MXR Wylde Audio Chorus is an analog pedal that commemorates the two-decade partnership between Dunlop and Zakk Wylde, guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Label Society.
Zakk uses the chorus to enhance his distorted tones and introduce a fluid dimension and texture to clean sections. The Wylde Audio Chorus is centered around its bucket-brigade circuitry, delivering rich, vintage-style analog tones that can be finely tuned using the rather peculiar (for a chorus) High and Low cut filters, as well as Level, Rate, and Depth controls. For an expansive and sweeping stereo effect, you can connect two amplifiers via the dual outputs (the extra one lets through the clean signal).
