Notwithstanding the name, Texas IdiotBox keeps churning out some very interesting pedals. Their latest creature, the Repo Man is a circuit that gives you a delay feeding an overdrive, and then some more delay – dedicated to all the “wall of sound” fans out there.
The interface is simple, and the signal hits the knobs in this order:
- the Space knob is the first delay,
- Drive is the overdrive’s gain,
- Color is the tone knob
- Time is the second echo (which trails when bypassed)
- Output adds extra volume
Listen to the immersive sounds produced by the IdiotBox Repo Man in the videos below. We added it to our article about the Best Weird and Creative Delay Pedals.
The Repo Man is an echo running into an overdrive running into another echo.
DRIVE controls amount of drive, COLOR is for tone shaping, OUTPUT is amount of volume, SPACE is echo 1 (which cuts quick when bypassed) and TIME is echo 2 which trails when bypassed)
Fuck this. Let’s go do some crimes!SPECS:
