The limited edition Lutz from Horrothia Effects (one of the most interesting emerging UK pedal brands) offers a modern twist on vintage-style fuzz, expanding its versatility and control. Along with their signature military-grade “arcade style” bypass footswitch, the Lutz includes two additional footswitches: one for activating an extra gain stage and another for triggering self-oscillation.
Dual input/output filter controls and “curly cable simulators” – with Light (short) / Off / Dark (long) settings – for both input and output add more layers of tone-shaping flexibility, including a Bias knob that drastically changes the character of the fuzz.
All of these features come packed in a sleek, compact enclosure with top-mounted jacks, making it perfect for tight pedalboards.
The pedal sold out within hours but might reemerge on the used market – or maybe Tom at Horrothia will build a new batch.
