For those looking for an octave-up fuzz pedal with nasty intentions, the Hangman FX Atomic World Ender certainly sounds like something that should fit the bill. It’s actually more than a fuzz, since it features a choppy tremolo that’s so fast that it creates it’s own drone notes, almost acting as an oscillator.
That hum can be tuned to your song’s key via the Speed and Finetune controls and can get pretty darn low, entering sub-octave territory for some earth shaking vibrations. The Depth sets the intensity.
The fuzz circuit itself is extremely versatile, featuring Gain and Tone knobs plus 3 toggle switches giving access to 27 tonal combinations:
- 3 x EQ Voices (high, low, mid),
- 3 x Clipping options (LED, none, Mosfet)
- 3 x Fuzz Modes (Octave, Gated, Non-Gated).
