It’s not too often we hear about a pedal manufacturer from Denmark. Emma Electronic makes a few boutique quality units, but the DiscomBOBulator Envelope Filter seems to be getting some decent buzz. They claim that this little puppy can track to any source from guitar to bass to whatever you wanna try plugging in. The controls allow for precise tracking and shaping of the effect. You’ve got knobs for Sensitivity, Width and Attack as well as a switch for choosing an Upwards or Downwards sweep. After scouring the web a bit it appears that quite a few hi-end level touring musicians swear by the BOB. Reports claim everything from “more Mu-tron than the Mu-tron” to the “best envelope filter around”. You can also see plenty of witness proving videos, one of which I’ll post below. Looks nice indeed.
