Hailing from the Indonesyan brand that gave us the Specular Tempus (also a stereo, multi-algorithms reverb + delay pedal), the GFI System Solis Ventus expands on its predecessor offering a dual DSP engine, powered by two 32-bit ARM processors.
This configuration allows you to run two effects (delay-delay, reverb-reverb, or delay-reverb pairing) simultaneously from a list of 15 Delay and 9 Reverb algorithms. Furthermore, the two effects can be run in series, parallel, or dual mono, offering plenty of creative possibilities, particularly for ambient players.
The Solis Ventus, including the LCD screen, is split into two parts, each part dedicated to an individual algorithm, making it easy to switch between reverb and delay or adjust settings for patches utilizing both effects.
The Solis Ventus also includes a 40-second stereo looper with overdub, reverse, double, and half-speed options, plus an Ascend Dub mode that gradually increases the loop’s pitch.
It has two modes of operation:
- Stompbox mode, great for experimenting, lets you customize existing tones and even turn on and off individual DSP sections
- Preset mode, more suitable for live situations, lets you flip between presets with your favorite delay/reverb pairings.
With flexible connectivity options, including an Aux jack for expression pedals or footswitches, CV support, and MIDI I/O, the Solis Ventus is designed for integration and creativity.
We added it to our comprehensive article about the best delay + reverb pedal combos.
