Fender Marine Layer

The new line of Fender stompboxes was one of the most intriguing surprises of NAMM 2018, so we were looking forward to the first demos.

The Marine Layer Reverb features 2 classic reverb types (Hall and Room) along with a “Special” mode that produces Shimmer-like results. Each mode offers two variations, while pre-delay and damping controls allow for extra tweaking. Reverb tails continue when the effect is muted, ensuring a smooth and natural decay.

More info about the pedal here and in the notes at the bottom of the entry. We added this pedal to our list of the Best Multi-Mode Reverb Pedals. Check out also the dual-channel version of it, released in 2020.

This reverb pedal features multiple types of the classic Fender effect, like Hall and Room, along with modern ones, like Shimmer. Reverb tails continue when the effect is muted, ensuring a smooth and natural decay.

“It’s got a ton of different sounds and a ton of features, but it’s really easy to use,” said Cotey. “It’s simple to find different sounds and explore, but you can get back to what you want with no complications.”

Reverb is an essential element in nearly any rig. Whether you’re adding dimension to your sound or drenching your signal in sparkling reflections, our Marine Layer Reverb can do it all. Multiple reverb types, including classics like Hall and Room along with modern marvels like Shimmer, make this an indispensable pedal in your signal chain.
