fly-rig In 2014 NYC's own stompbox manufacturer Tech 21 (pioneer in the amp emulation technology with the legendary SansAmp line) introduced a unique product called the Fly Rig 5. Meditating about the universe is heavy stuff but, like much in life, you have the option of being consumed, or delighted by your surroundings. Brooklyn-based electronic artist,
The Landing, does the latter. Producing synth-pop tracks that have their feet planted firmly on the ground, but their eyes to the sky, The Landing’s songs capture the bliss of infinity, but are packaged in a way that harkens back to pop hits of the early 60's. The result is tunes that are spacey in scope, but still feel like home. The Landing was kind enough to let The Deli take a peek behind the curtain and discuss his influences and process.... New FX Manufacturer: Friday Club Pedals

ed-450b-new-front_grande1 Newcomers to the pedal game Friday Club, out of Portland Oregon, have designed a solid line of 3 knob stompboxes. The line features almost exclusively distortions, fuzzes and overdrives: there one for all palates, including metal-heads (PD-100) and a screamer emulation (Green Menace). The only exception is their signature echo pedal, known as the ED-450b, and it’s based on the PT2399 chip. It offers the warmth of analog delay without the cascading darkness that comes with each additional repeat. Analog delays generally don’t have long delay times and the ED-450b maxes out at 450mS, which is a bit longer than many other similar pedals available.... Click on the title for more
