Retro-Sonic Phaser

http://www.retro-sonic.com/ http://proguitarshop.com/retro-sonic-phaser-pedal.html Welcome to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com where we’re plunging into Retro-Sonic’s Phaser. Retro-Sonic’s take on this classic effect combines the classic four-stage script Phase 90 with the underrated Boss PH-1r to create a brilliantly-voiced rich phase tone. The key to great phase shifting is careful matching of its parts to create an even-keeled effect with a perfectly symmetrical waveform. The Retro-Sonic Phaser features a group of FETs for mojo-drenched shifting. Matching these parts by hand ensures that each Phaser leaves the workbench sounding as good as it possibly can. Retro-Sonic's Phaser also gives you a set of controls that will satisfy even the most hardcore phase fiends. Besides the standard Rate control, the Retro-Sonic Phaser offers up a Depth control that reaches far beyond the capabilities of any orange phaser, as well as a highly-interactive Resonance control, which controls how much of the output is fed back into itself. This Resonance control sets the chewiness of the phase shifting, with everything from subdued throb to in-your-face liquid sweeps. Because some players can experience a volume drop when using a phaser, Retro-Sonic's pedal features a thoughtful Volume control that is fully capable of giving you a slight boost, or even a volume cut to prep the Phaser for a dirt or boost pedal. Each Phaser is equipped with true bypass switching for a color-free bypass tone, and like all Retro-Sonic pedals, the Phaser is hand-made, one at a time in Canada.
