Alabs Timeslip

Alabs is a new Chinese pedal brand that was able to take the “affordable compact pedal” concept to the next level by releasing a series of multi-algorithms stereo stompboxes chock-full of features. The Alabs Timeslip, mostly sold through Amazon, is the delay in this line.

Offering a mix of traditional (Tape, Digital, Analog, Reverse) and creative (Warp, Granule, Octave, Sweeper and Swell) echo-based flavors, the Timeslip can deliver repeats ranging between 20ms and 1100ms, allowing also the option to configure the output to be true stereo or Ping-Pong stereo.

The intriguing “Explore Mode Gesture Control” (marked by an infinite sign on the toggle on the right, as an option replacing the Tap Tempo functionality), which consists in a programmable 5-second momentary effect involving all the five pedal parameters (Time, Repeat, Mix, Tone and Modulation).

We added the timeslip to our comprehensive guide to the best multi-algorithm delay pedals.
