A digital, creative modulated, and fuzzed-up delay based on the PT2399 chip (a semi-obsolete component that still inspires hundreds of boutique pedal builders) the Weird Noise Death Spiral offers two LFOs, a Low Pass filter and a fuzz circuit, along with expression control.
The Low Pass filter can help create darker, vintage-sounding repeats, but also more resonant tones at darker setting, facilitating self-oscillation when turned to its maximum (counterintuitively, the more clockwise you turn it, the more the filter closes). It works interactively with the FDBK control on the right.
The two LFOs only affect the repeats of the delay and are differ in kind, with 1 being an IC-based design and 2 transistor/optical one. A toggle switch in the center of the pedal allows you to play either LFO1 by itself (which has controls for Depth and Speed), or to add LFO2 on top of it, which only has a speed knob. From the sound of it, LFO2 is just a tremolo, while LFO1 is a chorus
The “dry” signal fed to this delay can be altered not only through the filter but also through the Gain knob, which behaves like a Fuzz at higher settings.
