Greece is becoming a powerhouse in the field of pedal manufacturing and Vintage Guitar Nerds, founded in 2018 by UK-based Dimitris Loizos, is a welcome new company in this crowded arena. The Boostache is their first and so far only release and was actually designed by ST Electronix, an overdrive + boost that marries a Tube Screamer-style channel with a silicon treble booster, probably of Dallas Rangemaster origins.
The boost, in this pedal, is placed before the overdrive, so that, when activated, it will saturate the tone more, rather than clearly push the volume sent to your amp. A couple of toggle switches let you tweak the bass on the TS side and the treble on the boost side.
