Recently featured in the JHS Show, the Trap Door Electronics Dot Dot Damage is a fuzzstortion pedal built to sound – to quote the Brooklyn-based manufacturer – “grotesquely ugly and oddly beautiful.”
The tone reference is the massive but broken sound a fuzz pedal can produce for a few seconds AFTER you turn off your tube amp.
This pedal recreates that gnarly tone through a series of five matched JFETs and two highly interactive Bias knobs (plus Tone and Volume) that can create a wide variety of dirt sounds, from overdrive to huge and smooth fuzzes, all the way up to crazy and weird broken tones.
