MXR Phase 95

MXR got the phaser right in 1975 with the Phase 90 even though its design was inherited by Whirlwind's 1973 effect. That was the first pedal sold by the company and - to date - still one of the most popular and cherished. Two years later MXR released the Phase 45, a mellower version that works better for clean sounds.... Click on the title for more

MXR Booster Mini Boost

https://www.jimdunlop.com Available Here http://proguitarshop.com/mxr-m293-booster-mini.html Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com. Today we’re kicking things up a notch with the MXR Booster Mini. The Booster Mini is a deceptively simple all-in-one tonal flavor enhancer that combines two tried-and-true circuits in one tiny enclosure. Both the mojo of the MXR Echoplex Preamp and the raw power of the MXR Micro Amp are found side by side, with the Echoplex pre running into the teeth of the Micro Amp. The Volume control on the front controls the volume for the Micro Amp side, while a master Tone control enables a high-cut to filter out any unwelcome high frequencies generated by the circuit pair. The Echoplex pre side of the Booster Mini is controlled by an internal trimpot, which you can adjust with a screwdriver. This lets you precisely tailor the Echoplex's FET circuit to add subtle comp and grit to your guitar before it heads to the booster side. The Micro Amp side gives you 25 decibels of sparkling clean boost that’s been pushing amps into the red since the late ‘70s. The Micro Amp’s boost is clean enough to use at any position on your pedalboard when a little extra power is needed. Put it after delays and reverbs to give your amp what-for, or try placing it between dirt layers to push your favorite gain pedals into musical saturation. And just like all MXR pedals, the Booster Mini is manufactured right here in the USA.

New Pedals: MXR Shin-Juku Drive

shinjukudrive-111 MXR has been rolling out some new overdrive designs lately, and have teamed up with legendary amp designer Shin Suzuki to present the Shin-Juku Drive. Providing a dynamic, amp-like feel, the Shin-Juku drive is great at pushing your amp’s front end or as an overdrive pedal. Yet another 3 knob design, with the standard ‘Gain’, ‘Tone’, and ‘Output’ controls. On top of that, there is a ‘Dark’ switch that acts as a low pass filter which helps you tailor the sound to your specific style and rig. ... Click on the title for more

Stone Cold Fox’s pedals and gear

unnamed Melodic and atmospheric, Brooklyn's Cold Stone Fox boasts a sound that's multifaceted but extremely balanced. Their latest EP 'Tunnel Vision' harmoniously blends psychedelia with some of that melodic, ethereal but somewhat dark rock of the '80s (we hear a little bit of Simple Minds and The Church). Such well produced sound could not NOT trigger some Delicious Audio questions about their gear...... Click on the title for more

Whirlwind The Bomb – try it at the SXSW Stompbox Exhibit 2015

Whirlwind is an American company with a very American story -- founder Michael Laiacona was one of the masterminds behind the original line of MXR pedals, and later left to found his own company, Whirlwind. While arguably best-known for their excellent line of pro audio products, the team at Whirlwind decided to go back to Michael's roots and a few years back, introduced their own versions of the original MXR circuits (Phase 90, Dyna Comp, and Gold Box) in their Rochester Series of pedals, built in-house, in upstate New York.... MXR Il Torino Overdrive

MXR pedals have been among the best selling stompboxes in the past decade, and the brains behind the US brand - originally based in Rochester, NY, but now owned by California based Dunlop Manufacturing - must have thought that a little bit of Italian (sonic) flair might be something good to keep the guitarists' interest alive....
