EarthQuaker Devices’ Erupter Fuzz

EQD just announced the Erupter, a new fuzz pedal presented as the ambassador of the "ultimate fuzz tone." With this one knob stompbox, The Akron, Ohio company seems to be paving the way for a new-found love for the "less is more" approach to guitar effects.... Click on the title for more

Split pedal? Fuzzrocious/Dwarfcraft Afterlife of Pitch

wizardlife[1] Here at Delicious Audio we love collaborations, in particular if they are of the creative variety. Both Dwarfcraft Devices and Fuzzrocious Pedals have been churning out several pedals demonstrating how they love to think outside the box - although within the stompbox parameters! The two boutique manufacturers just released what we are going to refer to as a "split pedal" named the Afterlife of Pitch. Here's the description directly from the DCD's page:
On one side we have the Wizard of Pitch with a brand new glitch mod (not available anywhere else...yet) and on the other we have a Fuzzrocious Afterlife reverb with their crazy Oscillation switch.

EQD introduces the Levitation Reverb

It's official: pedal manufacturers are getting creative about their new releases: EarthQuaker Devices might have had a great idea in this regard - one that, considering our sister site The Deli's obsession with musical genres - we fully support. EQD just announced the release of Levitation, a pedal inspired and dedicated to what was once known as the Austin Psych Fest. There is no need to guess what kind of pedal it is: it's a reverb, the quintessential psychedelic effect. ... Click on the title for more

New Pedals: EQD’s Fuzz Master General

EarthQuaker Devices unveiled four new pedals at NAMM 2015, two of which are re-issues of classics now in a smaller format (which is definitely a trend appreciated by musicians when pedal board real estate is a necessity). The first of these re-packaged re-issues, the Hummingbird tremolo, is one to desire above others due to its mode switch. It has 3 speed controls - slow LFO, medium LFO and ‘super fast.’ There’s also a jack for an expression pedal to control the rate. The slow and fast speeds now go even slower and faster, and the depth knob can now be set so low that you can use it just as a clean boost when not using it as a tremolo. The Sea Machine is the other reissue. It is basically just a sized-down version of the classic Sea Machine with the minor addition of an LED to show the rate, even when disengaged.... Dwarfcraft Devices Memento

We saw Dwarfcrat Devices Memento's prototype at Winter NAMM 2014 and immediately liked it and blogged about it, maybe because one of our favorite effects when we were kids was to switch the guitar's pick up on and off to create some kind of controlled square tremolo effect, and this pedal does pretty much the same thing (and beyond) - they call it "Intelligent kill switch"! We are happy to report that the pedal is finally ready and Dwarcraft's Benjamin Hints has released this demo video of the unit - he seems pretty excited about it!... Click on the title for more

New Pedals at NAMM: EarthQuaker Devices Pitch Bay Polyphonic Harmonizer And Terminal Fuzz

The wizards at EarthQuaker Devices premiered two new pedals at this year’s Winter NAMM: The Pitch Bay Dirty Polyphonic Harmonizer and the Terminal , both of which flaunt simple ideas accentuated by that signature EQD ingenuity. The Pitch Bay includes two harmonizer knobs that function within semi-tone increments up to twelve, but only one harmonizes above the root; the second knob adds to the chord below the root note for even greater harmonic capability. As if polyphonic harmonization wasn’t enough, the pedal has an adjustable input gain too. Check out the demo below.... Click on the title for more

Two Noise Making Boxes at NAMM 2013

I'm super into synths and the modular synth culture. I'm going to start slowly introducing synths and noise makers of all sorts into the blog. I feel that modular synths and noise maker boxes are extremely fun and collectible, much like guitar pedals, so here is my first bit of noise making device news. This noise synth box comes to us from the folks at Audible Disease; its called the Infection IN-3 and is described as a wild joystick controlled two oscillator synthesizer guaranteed to please any noise head. You can process the synth sound even further with the other knobs giving you a virtual cornucopia of noise making pleasure center. I highly suggest checking out this video demo....
