There isn’t much info out there about the R Weaver FX Violet Vibe (the builder doesn’t seem to have a website nor a social media page). Still, this baby sounds great on Mike Herman’s video and goes for over $250 used on Reverb.com, so that’s a testament to the unit’s quality.
Based on a vintage Univibe unit from 1968, it’s an authentic replica with exact layout circuit board, NOS components including correct spec photocells and bulb, 2SC828 and 2SC539 transistors, greenie capacitors. It runs on 18vdc center negative.
It also features an expression output to control the speed.
We added it to our article about the best Uni-Vibe clones.
