The Fortin Amplification Meshuggah pedal is a highly interactive, feature-packed preamp-distortion designed to shape extreme and versatile tones, designed in collaboration with the Swedish metal band that already collaborated with the Illinois-based company on a popular guitar amp. Needless to say, that amp’s tone is encapsulated in the pedal.
It offers two channels:
- CH 1 (Red) engages both GAIN 1 & GAIN 2 controls,
- CH 2 (Green) uses only GAIN 2, delivering surprisingly vintage, chimey tones when dialed back.
The MVC (Master Volume Control) works with the HI/LO switch—HI mode adds compression and saturation for modern high-gain sounds, while LO mode provides an open, raw vintage feel.
Active BASS, MIDDLE, and HIGH EQ circuits allow precise tonal shaping, and the built-in Fortin Zuul Noise Gate ensures tight, noise-free performance.
True bypass with relay-based switching retains the last state upon power-up. Designed for optimal performance into an amp’s FX loop, it runs on 9V DC (125mA) with MOSFET protection. Endless tweaking unlocks its full potential—find your tone.
