Electro-Harmonix Pico Shimmer

Electro-Harmonix built the Pico Shimmer so you don’t have to spend ten minutes dialing in a decent octave reverb. Three scenes, one knob to morph between them, and a footswitch that gives you infinite reverb on a press-and-hold. That’s the whole interface.

Here are the 3 Scenes:

Intergalactic: classic shimmer with polyphonic octaves, reverb, modulated delay, and a string synth engine. The Voice knob morphs from clean plate to shimmer to ethereal strings.

Off-World: smoother and mellower. Enhanced delay modulation, vintage synth textures, more atmospheric and less aggressive.

Etherdust: glitch shimmer with randomized delay times. Stutters range from short granular sparkles to distinct glitch echoes.

Secondary functions hide under a press-and-hold on the Scene button—reverb mix, delay time, modulation depth and rate. You don’t need them to get good sounds, but they’re there when you want to dig.

Compact. Three bypass modes. Power adapter included. No menus. No screens. Just three very different shimmer reverbs in a box smaller than your phone. If you play ambient guitar for more than twenty minutes a week, stop reading and go buy one. If you don’t, this might be the pedal that changes your mind.
