The many guitarists who play genres too fast to allow them to stomp on more than one pedal before their solos should take a look at the Dunable Eidolon, a compact-ish multi-effect device that allows you to get your rhythm and lead tone in one stomp, with an added wetness element through the delay and reverb circuits.
Dave Davidson of the metal band Revocation […] came to us with this idea [of] solving the issue of using multiple pedals to boost solos in one thing.
Engineered in conjunction with John at Electronic Audio Experiments, The Eidolon is…
…a fully integrated digital delay, reverb, and boost. The delay features up to 1 second of crystal clear repeats and tap tempo control. The reverb morphs from a short room style decay to a near-infinite ambiance. The final mix of dry and delay/reverb signals may be boosted by up to 21dB of flat IC gain – perfect for a solo boost.
The delay is tap tempo enabled, while modulation can be added to the reverb through a toggle switch.
We saw the prototype at NAMM 2019 (see bottom video with company owner Sacha Dunable).

The Dunable Eidolon is a creation from the mind of Dave Davidson of the band Revocation, one of the most insanely talented guitar players in the game right now. He came to us with this idea, and it was too genius to not be a part of. Solving the issue of using multiple pedals to boost solos is one thing, but this is also very useful as a beautiful digital delay and reverb, and a clean boost. This is quite possibly one of the most essential tools any guitarist could ever ask for. A true “desert island” pedal that belongs on every player’s board. We partnered with John at Electronic Audio Experiments for the engineering as well, which means this thing is both unique and high quality.
“I came up with the idea for the “Eidolon” a while back when I was searching to no avail for an all in one pedal that would be great for solos and would eliminate the need to run multiple units in my effects loop. As most lead players already know, you need two if not three different units to dial in the proper mix of delay, reverb and boost to get the cut and atmosphere you need. The “Eidolon” puts all of these effects into one pedal that is user-friendly and also sounds incredible. The “Eidolon” is truly my ideal lead pedal and is perfect for guitarists who are looking to dial in an awesome solo tone that is also super easy to use.” – Dave Davidson
