Cusack Tap-A-Delay at the Brooklyn Stompbox Exhibit 2014

If in a delay pedal you are looking for character rather than purity of tone, you may want to check out the Cusack Tap-A-Delay, available for testing at our upcoming Brooklyn Stompbox Exhibit 2014. Providing 750ms of delay and 8 modulation options, this highly configurable pedal belongs to the gritty, analog sounding category - it's even a little noisy, but isn't a little bit of hiss kind of cool at times? ... The Schaffer Replica’s story: don’t miss it at the Brooklyn Stompbox Exhibit

As we gear up for the Stompbox exhibit this weekend, we wanted to point out one of the exciting boxes that will be on hand, as well as a truly fascinating story. Through a long-standing labor of love and quest to replicate the classic tone of AC/DC's guitarist Angus Young, a gentleman by the name of Fil “SoloDallas” Olivieri has created a faithful recreation of the Schaffer-Vega Diversity System (SVDS) called The Schaffer Replica. Apparently, Olivieri dug up an old interview with Angus Young where he was asked what effects he used on his guitar to which he basically replied, “none, just my Schaffer Wireless.”... Try the T-Rex Quint Machine at the Brooklyn Stompbox Exhibit

The good folks at Denmark pedal manufacturer T-Rex Effects have released a new Octaver called the Quint Machine. Presumably taking the name from the fact that in addition to having optionality for “octave up” and “octave down," the Quint Machine also has a “fifth up” option, which adds more harmonic complexity relative to straightforward octave layering.... New Pedals: Devi Ever FX BDSM (Big Distortion Sound Machine)

As you may know, Devi Ever earlier this year parted ways with her company Devi Ever FX, and sold the assets to the fine folks at Dwarfcraft Devices, who had previously licensed and built her branded effects on occasion. The Big Distortion Sound Machine (BDSM) is the first pedal bearing the Devi Ever FX label released under the new ownership, and it's essentially two discrete fuzz pedals from the original Devi Ever line in one. It offers the unique opportunity to run both in stereo and/or in parallel. A range of combinations are promised from the unique square-wave buzz saw of the Ruiner side meeting the sick distorto-gain of the TP side.... Click on the title for more

MC System Pedals and the 3 way footswitch

Playing electric guitar in a band is all about dynamics, and many players actively seek pedals that allow them more options and more control in that department. Australian manufacturer MC System creates sturdy, scientific looking pedals that feature an innovative "triple function" footswitch - called V-Switch - that allows guitarists to trigger two different aspects of the effect depending on how hard they step on it. Of course, this is very useful in an (all analog) overdrive pedal like their NKM Dynamic Drive:  with one switch you get three different drive options: Off, On and... MORE! The Alternate switch adds two level output options.... Click on the title for more
