Based in Albany, Oregon, Pettyjohn Electronics is a new-ish face in the community of boutique pedal manufacturers, but one that is receiving a certain amount of attention (and flattering reviews). Entirely focused, at least for now, on the dirt and color realms, they have been releasing six all analog pedals since 2014 , all featuring distinctive character and looks:... The limit of many fuzz pedals is their "one-trick-poniness." The Defector, a stompbox by Richland, WA based boutique manufacturer Foxpedals, doesn't share that characteristic, featuring ways of tailoring both the fuzz sound and the EQ to fit into any rig or playing style....
