The Small Speaker Overdrive is the first pedal of Cambridge, UK based Great Eastern FX. It's a stompbox that cleverly offers something that goes against the hype of "fat" overdrives delivering the tone of big amps, the premise being that it's common knowledge that some of the best-sounding guitar parts ever recorded were played on surprisingly small amps. Like the other mini pedals by this newish Chinese builder, the Flamma FC16 Optical Tremolo is a bread and butter effect that does well what it promises at an incredible price. And, unlike most other Chinese pedals, in the mini field, it also looks great, thanks to a tasteful choice for the metal case's color (Flamma excels at that) and the use of stylized modern fonts and graphics.... There isn't much info out there about the R Weaver FX Violet Vibe (the builder doesn't seem to have a website nor a social media page).
