Hand-built by a husband and wife team based in Fresno, California, the Atomic Tone Saturation Tryptic is an analog dirt box that’s mostly an overdrive but adheres to modern standards by being able to shine also as a boost, sagged fuzz and everything in between, shining as an overdrive/distortion when run at 18v.
The range of voicing can be accessed via the toggle switch in the center of the pedal, which delivers the following:
- Up Postion: Boost to Overdrive that goes a little past mild with modern to thick vintage tone.
- Mid Position: Boost to OD with fuzz, delivering also a TB MKII pro tone at high settings, with tons of tone options in between
- Down Position: A mode that delivers all sorts of sounds from Boost to Distortion to fuzz, although it won’t do heavy fuzz.
The Bass is a LPF (pre-distortion) and the Treble HPF (post-distortion), and the interact closely with the Sat(duration) knob.
