The Glowfly Hymnosis is a new stompbox by a UK-based builder specializing in creative effects with a psychedelic angle – perfectly reflected in the company’s gorgeous pedal graphics.
This handmade circuit integrates a series of effects including octave up/down, forward/reverse delay and freeze, to allow the creation of inspiring sounds and textures. All the effects can be played simultaneously, with the toggle switch in the middle selecting between forward or reversed delay.
The second footswitch triggers the freeze function, which “creates choral backing pads and rhythmic mini-loops by pausing the recording of new audio.” A second tap will capture a new loop while holding it will turn the effect off.
The pedal will ship in mid-February, check out the early videos of it.
