The Sunnaudio NU-1 Nucleus is an elegantly designed, compact and versatile boost/overdrive featuring a two-gain channel circuit. The different gain stages have different levels (Hi/Lo) but can also be controlled through separate knobs and toggled through the HI/LO Gain footswitch.
LO gain setting ranges from crystal clear to overdrive while
HI gain starts with rich clean harmonic sounds to full distortion.
No matter what gain is selected, the signal then gets routed to the “rest” of the circuit, comprising of a bigger Gain knob and tiny Tone and Focus ones. This is what they do.
Focus adjusts the sub-harmonic frequencies to your bass signal, or to contour your over driven guitar sound.
Tone for mid shaping the overdrives
There’s also an internal input impedance switch for optimum matching with any other devices.
