Built for expansive spatial movement, the Valeton VDS-2d houses two completely independent stereo modulation engines within a single chassis.
Designed to deliver expansive spatial movement and complex tonal sweeps, the Valeton VDS-2d houses two completely independent stereo modulation processing engines within a single, road-ready enclosure. The pedal offers a suite of six foundational modulation algorithms:
- lush multi-voice Chorus,
- sweeping Flanger,
- vintage jet-style Phaser,
- rhythmic Tremolo,
- pitch-bending Vibrato,
- and a rotating speaker Rotary emulation.
What sets the VDS-2d apart is its internal signal routing architecture. Players can configure Engine A and Engine B in Series—cascading one modulation effect directly into another for dense, multi-layered phase-flange or tremolo-vibrato combinations—or run them in Parallel, splitting the two independent modulation paths across the left and right stereo channels to construct massive, wide panoramic soundstages. Dedicated front-panel controls for each engine allow precise, independent fine-tuning of LFO speed, depth, and tone character across both processing blocks.
Performance flexibility is simplified through dedicated Tap Tempo mapping across its dual soft-touch footswitch layout, allowing players to sync modulation rates on the fly to match live rhythm sections. Whether dialed in for subtle, vintage-style analog swish and warble, gentle movement across clean chord passages, or complex, dual-layered rhythmic textures that sweep dynamically across a stereo rig, the VDS-2d provides complete modulation coverage.
The dedicated CTRL footswitch operates as a momentary control to trigger Glide modes, executing pitch-bending ramps (rises and falls) for the duration you press or hold it.
Built with true stereo inputs and outputs, selectable true or buffered bypass, and USB-C connectivity, it serves as a powerful utility for sound design.
