At NAMM 2025 it was good to see DigiTech back with some new pedal releases after a few transitional years due to the change of ownership. The HammerOn was one of these new products, announced at the NAMM show but not for sale yet.
An evolution of their Whammy-inspired Drop pedal, the HammerOn is a double, programmable, creative pitch shifter pedal with an incorporated 2, 3 or 5-note sequencer.
Pressing on either of the two footswitches will momentarily transpose your note to the desired pitch target, ranging from a 2nd to two octaves up or down.
The seven modes, ranging from pitch jumps and harmony effects to pitch sequences and drop/capo tunings, allows for a lot of creative options, and there’s also a Trill mode that allows you to create multiple consecutive pitch shifts.
