The “mini-” trend – inaugurated by visionary comedian Mike Myers in his Austin Power series – is becoming somewhat ubiquitous in the guitar pedal world.
At our recent SXSW Stompbox Exhibit we had a chance to check out Dunlop’s new Cry Baby Mini Wah, which admittedly inspired cuddly feelings – it’s a mini-baby, folks!
But after the initial surprise, many wondered how this new shrunken version of this legendary pedal would work and behave under your foot.
The video below should silence any skeptics: it appears that the mini-wah, which is half the size, can be maneuvered as well as its mother version, no matter what size shoe you wear.
By the way, it looks like they chose the guitarist with the biggest possible foot for this demo, which surely proves the point.
