Taurus Pedals Servo 3

Hand-made in Poland, the Taurus Pedals Servo 3 is a pedal that’s gaining a growing fanbase among the more “tone-oriented” guitarists.

Although it could be described as a boost pedal, the Servo is certainly NOT a clean type of boost, quite the opposite. the Servo Gain knob is the core of the circuit and it’s designed to sweeten your tone with extra volume and harmonic content that complements and enriches the sound.

Slightly wider than the original, V3 features a Nano Tube, visible through a little crated window, which adds some extra character to the fully analog circuit, which can run at 9v or 12v for extra headroom.

The boost circuit is controlled by the Boost/Headroom knob and can be triggered by the left footswitch without affecting the other effects – this is an improved function from the toggle switch found in V1 and V2.

V3 includes a few more new features compared to the rather spartan first instance of the pedal:

  • The Massive 3-way toggle gives you 2 saturation options simulating tube breakup (this was introduced in v2)
  • Level Correction knob to fine tune the pedal’s volume from -9 to 0 dbs (this was introduced in v2)
  • Noise Gate push button that automatically silences any hum
  • Low Cut push button to tame the muddiness when needed

It can also be used to record guitar direct to your audio interface.

This is a device whose value can only be understood by listening to it – you can do so in the demos below.
