The Spaceman Spacerocket II is a discrete silicon transistor fuzz reworked and reissued to celebrate the company’s 15th anniversary.
Extremely flexible notwithstanding the simple controls, this pedal can deliver a variety of sounds ranging from thick fuzzes to classic octave-up tones, thanks to the 3-way voice toggle.
The new version includes some upgrades:
- Noise-floor reduction of 15db;
- A more pronounced octave effect in the Oct position;
- Tighter lows, smoother highs on all voices
This is a pedal producing mostly non-traditional-sounding fuzz with very interactive controls that can conjure up rather unique fuzzy textures. It shines when used for single-string lead lines, with a saturated multidimensional fuzz that blooms between notes. With chords and multi-string playing, you can achieve a variety of tones, including intermodulated, metallic, and noisy robotic fuzz.
