A US brand known for love-them-or-hate-them (but mostly under-appreciated) solid-state guitar amps, at the NAMM 2025 show Peavey has introduced the Amp & Preamp Pedal Series, transforming some of its most iconic amplifier circuits into compact, road-ready stompboxes.
The line, announced but not released yet, include these five pedals, in rigorous alphabetical order:
Bandit Supreme Teal Stripe Pedal
Capturing the essence of the early ‘90s Bandit 112 and Supreme 160, this pedal delivers the signature high-gain lead channel through a set of controls particularly useful to sculpt your tone, including a Shift button to push the mids.
Decade Pedal
This is a tribute to what’s probably the most popular Peavey amp of all, the small 1980s Decade amp, used by many as a practice amps, and by some legend as a secret weapon, like Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. this pedal brings its distinctive drive and punch and the original’s switchable Saturation channel for extra grit and sustain, alongside classic Pre/Post Gain controls and a three-band EQ.
Rock Master Preamp Pedal
Modeled after the sought-after “Ultra” channel from the Rock Master amp, this pedal runs on an internal HV TransTube power supply to replicate the amp’s massive headroom and punchy tone.
Session-LTD 400 Preamp Pedal
Recreating the 1974 Session/LTD 400’s warm, clean sound, this pedal is built for tone coinesseurs and features the same parametric mid EQ as the original, plus Bass, Treble and Presence controls.
VTM Preamp Pedal
Bringing back the raw power of the VTM 60/120, this pedal offers eight DIP switch settings for extensive tone shaping, just like the original, beloved by ’90s Alt-Rock guitarists like Kim Thayil of Soundgarden and Al Pitrelli of Megadeath.
