RHPF Electronics Mosrawr Fuzz

Right. You want to get mean. Enter the RHPF Electronics Mosrawr Fuzz. The Velcro Roar. A name that sounds like a bad ’90s cartoon villain or the noise your amp makes when you drop it down a flight of stairs. Either way, I’m listening.

This is a fuzz built by some maniacs in Basel, Switzerland—land of chocolate, bankers, and apparently, circuits that want to eat your face. It’s Swiss-made, which means every solder joint was probably done while smoking a hand-rolled cigarette and contemplating the void. The sound? They call it “velcro.” That’s a good word. It’s the sound of tearing something apart that wasn’t meant to be put back together.

The controls? You got Bass, Treble, and Mid—but that Mid knob is the real puppet master. It sits before the gain, so it decides how the fuzz reacts to your sad little fingers. Push it and you get chewy, focused roar. Pull it back and you get scooped-out swells that sound like a dying star in a tin can.

There’s a Low-Mid Surge that cuts through the mix like a dirty needle through a worn-out record. Chords keep their vocal core. Leads stay present. You can stack this thing with reverbs, delays, whatever – it doesn’t drown, it swims.

And the sustain? Oh, it hangs. Like a bad memory you can’t shake. Notes stay separate, complex chords remain defined, and the whole thing blooms into that thick, harmonic mess we call shoegaze, noise rock, post-rock. Take your pick.

Loopy Demos collaborated in shaping the sound. Sketchy Pedals drew the artwork. Together they made a fuzz that roars, growls, and breathes. Hand-built. Swiss. Mean. It turns noise into music and makes you feel like you’re falling into the speakers.

Controls? Quick and dirty:

  • Bass: The low-end mud or lack thereof. Shape the bottom from sticky grind to open sludge.
  • Treble: The icepick or the blanket. Bite or air. Your choice.
  • Mid: The heart of the beast. Pre-gain. Push for chewy, focused rage. Pull for scooped, cavernous swells.
  • Gain: The core. How much of the fuzz demon you wanna let out. Tight layers to feral saturation.
  • Volume: How loud you want the apocalypse.

Go on. Plug it in. Drown.
