Inspired by the legendary Urei 1176 – a studio staple – the Origin Cali76 Stacked Edition is a dual-stage compressor pedal that combines two Cali76 circuits in series for enhanced flexibility and control.
Featuring independent settings for each stage, the circuit unlocks a vast array of tonal possibilities, ranging from more or less compressed cleans to punch, and clarity, including, of course, prolonged yet natural-sounding sustain. The 9v to 18v operation guara extra headroom, if necessary.
Some of the peculiar controls include a THRU knob that sets how hard the output of the first compressor hits the second, independent Attack/Release knobs for each compression stage, and a Dry control to reintegrate the clean signal for parallel compression.
