Land Devices Moonbow

Filter pedals, when followed by saturation or distortion, can become extremely effective “tone sculptors.” That’s precisely what the Land Devices Moonbow does, opening up a lot of sonic possibilities by elegantly placing an overdrive after a classic voltage-controlled dual-mode filter.

The filter is a classic synth-style one, offering both High Pass and Low pass, with selectable Cutoff and Resonance for both modes. It operates on frequencies between 20Hz and 5kHz, and the manufacturer invites to acution when turning the resonance above 70%, due to strong oscillating tendencies.

Tthe gain and level controls allow input flexibility, allowing compatibility with both level and line level instruments, but also the introduction of saturated tones, which can create edgy sounds by adding harmonics to the filtered tone.

The 0-5V CV Input sets the Control voltage input for ‘CUTOFF.’
