Joe Gore’s Purr Vibrato was announced some time ago, but good things come to those who wait. This particular unit was expertly voiced by Mr. Gore himself, exploring the psychoacoustic properties of the vibrato effect while tightening the nuts and bolts.
The result is the perfect “Goldilocks” vibrato—not too heavy, not too light, not too phase-y, not too seasick . . . just right. One knob and accompanying rate LED are all you need. Mr. Gore found that adjusting the rate gives the perception of depth, so the Purr always sits in the sweet spot.
