The Lichtlaerm As Above So Below is a monumental reverb pedal that transcends traditional effects, offering vast, immersive soundscapes with celestial and subterranean dimensions, as you would expect from a metal-inspired Berlin-based builder!
Built on a rich, sculptable reverb core, it features a dual-octave architecture organized in 3 modes:
- Above adds ethereal high octaves,
- Below introduces deep, time-shifted sub-octaves,
- Both merges them into haunting harmonic textures.
The X and Y knobs affect different parameters depending on which mode is selected:
- In Both mode they control the – respectively – the levels of the low and high octaves.
- In Above or Below mode X is a Reverb Pre-delay while Y controls the Octave Level.
The Dampen control dials in darker vintagey tones, while we are pretty sure you know what the Wet/Dry and a Level knobs do.
The Freeze footswitch sustains reverb infinitely, crafting ambient pads, and the useful FX loop lets you process tails with external effects.
