Well, this was kind of unexpected: Our upcoming Brooklyn Synth Expo will serve as a launch platform for a… stompbox! The pedal, manufactured by Swedish synth maker Elektron, is called Analog Drive, and it seems to borrow, at least in part, from the distortion stage of the company’s “audio enhancer/destroyer”Analog Heat.
The first member of the Elektron family to sport a white look (all its siblings are black), the Analog Drive gives you eight analog distortion types in one box, three bands of analog EQ with sweepable mids, Midi compatibility, easy preset storage/navigation, and full expression pedal compatibility. Also, in case you are wondering, it’s optimized to work with guitars, but hey, it sounds great on synths too!
